latest stem cell study

from BBC NEWS:

Monkey stem cells can repair the brain damage caused by Parkinson's disease, Japanese researchers have shown.

The findings, published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, offer renewed hope of a similar treatment for humans.

Good thing the U.S. is taking a lead role in this important research... Oops. Nope. Remember the values. Our leader has his convictions. Ultimately, aging Baby Boomers will care more about their own well-being than about some excess fertility clinic embryos. Just remember how self-centered they all were in the '60s, 70's, '80's, and 90's. Once the bulge hits, the quaint notions of religious extremists will matter not one whit when faced with the awesome spending power of 75 million seniors unwilling to give up their youth and vitality.
