Political Capital Spending Spree

from USA Today:

Since seven of the 20 were blocked by Democratic filibuster, Bush likely would have to press Senate Republicans to change their rules to eliminate filibusters if he wants all of his nominees confirmed. Democrats say this would result in a state of civil war on the Senate floor, where business is easily halted.

All of this raises a crucial question: Is this the place Bush should stand and fight? The short answer is 'no.'

Oh, but I'd sure like to see Our Leader go over his credit limit on this one...
